AMARKANTAK TRADERS LIMITED was incorporated on 21st November, 1990 in the name of “Shubh Poultries Private Limited”. Later on it became “Amarkantak Traders Limited. The same continued till date, however it has received approval from Ministry of Corporate Affairs to change the name as “Amarkantak Traders Limited”, subject to approval of shareholders for which the postal ballot notice dated 20th August, 2016 & results will be declared on 28th September, 2016.
The Company has set up a poultry farm with commercial layer birds on scientific cage systems with a capacity of 50,000 layer birds at District Ambala, Haryana in 1991-92. The Company increased its production capacity during 1993-95 up to 125000 layer birds & this was financed by Agricultural term loan & promoter contribution. The Company came out with Public Issue in December, 1995 to increase the production capacity by additional 125000 layer birds at the same location at Ambala. Though the issue was fully subscribed, but on account of non-receipt of allotment money to the tune of Rs. 65 lacs, hampered the project & Company stopped its business activities in 2003. The present management is carrying on trading activities in textiles products during last few years. The Company is changing its main object & it intends to carry on trading activities in commodities, electronics goods, consumer durables, textiles products, etc. The Company came out with public issue of 2923200 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each in December, 1995. The present paid-up capital is Rs. 37719800 consisting of 3771980 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each and Authorized Capital is Rs. 40000000 consisting of 4000000 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each.
